In April 2005, EQUALL enrolled 100 volunteers from its Complementary Education Program and Community Support Teachers into the Diploma in Basic Education.
“I thought it was all over with my future studies until news of the Open and Distance Learning program came to me. How can I forget the very afternoon I received the news from our field supervisor. I said to myself, “The heavens gates have been opened and I will not miss out on this opportunity that will be knocking only once.” I was very eager to be part of the program and what a relief when I learned we were going to be enrolled in the program.
Reading my self-instructional modules, which have been written in a user-friendly language, I am positive that come 2008, I will have received my diploma in basic education. My gratitude goes to EQUALL who have made it possible for me to be “equall” to the task of the Teacher Education’s Open and Distance Learning program.”
