The EQUALL project was conceived as a collaborative effort between implementing partners, the Government’s education agencies, local government, communities, and other stakeholders.
Program activities are managed by a team of experienced coordinators who work mostly at the district level in collaboration with District Education Officers.
Each EQUALL implementing partner brings expertise in one or more strategies for achieving the project’s objectives.
EQUALL works in close partnership with the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports and with the Ghana Education Service, at both national and district levels.
GAIT II is a USAID-funded project working to strengthen civic involvement and community advocacy for quality education. GAIT II and EQUALL work in many of the same districts and collaborate on many activities.
USAID provides funding for EQUALL to support the policy goals and priorities set forth by the Government of Ghana in the Education Sector Plan (2003–2015).
