Christian Dowuona-Hammond brings to EQUALL more than 30 years experience in Ghana’s education system in various positions. He served as Director of Education for the Cape Coast Municipality and Agona District, both in the Central Region of Ghana. He has classroom teaching experience in the teaching of mathematics at different levels including Primary, Junior Secondary, Senior Secondary schools and Teacher Training College. He was involved for many years in promoting the study of mathematics, serving as national secretary of the Mathematics Association of Ghana and regional mathematics organiser in Greater Accra. The enormous experience he accumulated over decades was put to use in many capacities. He was Officer-in-charge of district-level capacity building for the Ghana Education Service, and a master trainer for Primary School mathematics teachers for the NGO, Catholic Relief Services. Chris has an advanced diploma in Education Studies (mathematics education) from University of Leeds, UK, and a B.Ed (Primary Education) from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.
