Twenty-five learners join the Complementary Education Program.
Twenty-five learners enrolled in the first Complementary Education Program class in Kabampe, West Gonja District. In this village of about 300 inhabitants, many children were out of school, working as farm hands, cow boys, or babysitters.
The Complementary Education Program used items from the children’s environment as learning materials and children were taught in their own language, for example, Gonja was used in Kabampe.
